OCTOBER 12
PISCES DAILY HOROSCOPE: What goes up, must come down. But what if it then goes back up again? And then, down again? And so on? Then, of course, it’s a mistake to view it as something going up or going down, just because that is what it happens to be doing at this particular moment. Instead, it should be seen as a bouncing item. Imagine looking at a yo-yo and saying, ‘Darn, it’s up. I wish it was down’. Before you have formed the thought, it has shifted position.
MY TAKE: Another stunner; this feels like a continuation of yesterday’s issue, the stage two thinking, if you will. I had two victorious moments today and I felt the adrenaline racing, the idea, well, maybe I will get there. But then I caught myself: you’re not thinking like that anymore! And I’m glad I remembered, because I had another rejection later in the afternoon, and though it still stung, I came around a lot quicker than normal. I looked at the rejection and realized, you know, this magazine editor has a different set of needs than I have. She gave me good advice in tweaking my ideas to suit her needs, and I’ll apply that and move forward. Sure, it would have been better to get the thumbs-up right away, but I’ve been in this industry too long to expect that. It’s not reality, and I know it. That read is exactly right—neither today’s ups nor downs have yo-yo’d me. I put in my day’s work, had a long run, and now I’m going to the movies. That’s not too bad, is it? What does your horoscope say today? What’s your take?
VERDICT: Helped me to dig a bit deeper on how to practically apply a complicated viewpoint change.
