“Some arguments simply can’t be won. Some phenomena can never be quite satisfactorily explained. Some processes, situations and people simply baffle us, the more we try to think about them or understand them. How dull life would be if it were any other way. In your current quest for an elusive butterfly, you need to proceed gently and carefully. If something makes no sense, don’t get frustrated; just be patient. If there is something you truly need to know now, it won’t be long before you find it out.” – Jonathan Cainer
Again, I find this good, but general advice. Don’t we all have an “elusive butterfly?” we’re tripping after. Still, if this is something my chart says I should concentrate on, I’m giving it a go…that’s what this experiment is all about. Who knows? Maybe by tomorrow I’ll have found the secret to life’s mysteries…
VERDICT: Letting it marinate.
Bonus entry: I knew this would happen. Now, in addition to reading horoscopes daily on Jonathan Cainer’s site, I’ve now started looking at them in all the newspapers and magazines I pick up, too. Catching up on my weekend reading of The Australian, I came across this gem of a prediction: “By the end of November you encounter or reconnect with someone life-alteringly awesome. It’s a Pluto thing, so fateful and transformative…maybe it’s a person of influence who sees your work and wows out at the genius.” Now, you’re probably laughing at me, but this lifted my heart before I had a second to even realize what was happening. I started thinking, will one of these five million feelers I’ve got out all over the world finally turn into something substantial?? Are we all just suckers for positive thinking? I don’t know if it’s coincidence, but I doubled down my efforts this AM, making calls I’ve had on my list for months. And now, I catch myself—isn’t this overly hopeful thinking just the kind of thing I want to avoid? If so, why does it feel so good?
