Image Tweaks Can Increase Facebook Ad Conversion

This week at 365 Days of Actionable Book Marketing, we’re a bit hesitant to make a confession. Marketing is starting to become enjoyable. I know, right? Hear me out, though. There are two very good reasons for that:

1. I’m starting to see results from my book marketing efforts; my sales are consistently higher than last year.

2. I’m getting good at it. This means less wasted time, more targeted efforts, more sense of what I need to do, and less hesitation.

This week in 365 Days of Actionable Book Marketing, we are on a keyword roll…tweaking blog posts, growing amazon ad keyword lists, and even re-titling to get those keywords in there.

Some New Search Terms for my Amazon Keyword Ads

 

Tweak and refresh your best evergreen posts to boost perpetual traffic. A huge chunk of website traffic comes from “hero posts” according to the Digital Marketing Podcast. So go back and tweak yours to be SEO-friendly, using the Yoast tips on your wordpress backend. Update with new, more relevant best-practice links, then re-send it out multiple times on twitter and fb, using relevant hashtags, so the right people will find you, to get more traction. Complete KDP Select Free Days Book Launch Strategy for Self-Publishers

If you’re going to launch your self-published book with Kindle KDP Select, make the most of it by running a promo with the kindle KDP Select free days you’re given each enrolment cycle. The self-pub community (including yours truly), is starting to think you might be better off not giving amazon exclusive digital publishing for a 90 day period (the requirement to use these promotion tools by entering into KDP Select—if not right now, then certainly in the near future—going “wide” with your release, across Barnes and Noble, iTunes, and Google Play (more on this in future post). But if you’re going exclusive to Kindle, which let’s face it, many of us still are, your initial release is your chance to get extra visibility by hitting the “Hot New Releases,” which you’ll get to stay in for 30 days, until those launch sales numbers cycle out of your ranking. This means more views, which means the opportunity for more sales.
